RAID have created a 7 point checklist of preparation tips for all you Black Friday shoppers!
1. Choose your team wisely
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer…
Make sure you’ve contacted all your friends and family to see who’s out and about shopping the Black Friday sales! Prioritise 5 things off your list and make sure their looking out for you! Desperate times call for desperate measures, you don’t know who you’ll have to call in a time of crisis, so give them the heads up!
2. Disguise yourself
On Black Friday there is NO time for distractions.
The shops will be packed with people and your bound to bump into your old best friend from school or the ex’s mum that is ‘dying to catch up’ (i.e. desperate to know if you’ve moved on and replaced her perfect son).
The trick is.. d i s g u i s e yourself! Whilst you’ve stopped to chat, someone has just grabbed the last of the bargains you came in for. We DON’T want any time wasting or missed opportunities girls.
3. Take snacks
It’s going to be a LONG day.
Tesco will have ran out of meal deals and the queue for Greggs is out the door. Let’s not waste any time or dip into the budget searching for lunch. TAKE snacks with you.
Keep re hydrated with a large bottle of water and energy levels up with sweets or a chocolate bar. Grab a banana and a packet of crisps and we are good to go for the day!
4. Create a budget
Budget? What does that mean?
No matter what shopping trip you go on you’re always going to go slightly over budget, especially when there’s sale signs everywhere.
Create a budget and STICK to it. Well, when we say stick to it, they do always say that when creating a budget be prepared to spend +25% don’t they!? Or is it 50%? Who knows! Maybe this tip isn’t the most important one…
5. Dress Accordingly
It’s all about layering!
Christmas is approaching and the weather is unpredictable. It’s bound to be around 0 degrees. It could be windy, it could be raining, or who knows, it could be snowing! Make sure you’ve packed your handbag sized umbrella and you’re wearing lots of layers.
You need to be prepared for the cold weather outside, but prepared for the hot and stuffy temperatures inside too! You really do work up a sweat when your fighting over shoes and rugby tackling your competition when running to grab that last handbag!
6. Stick to the list
Come on girl, let’s not get too carried away!
On Black Friday, EVERYWHERE is in sale. You can grab clothes, shoes, coffee machines, televisions, carpets, kettles, bikes, tents…… the list goes on. Stay focused, stick to the list and let’s not get carried away. We don’t want to be bringing things home that we are going to regret! After all, your favourite perfume is a lot easier to look after than a new puppy!
7. Keep your calm
Remember to breathe and count to 10!
It’s going to get busy, your going to get tired, it’s going to be a LONG day and your patience will wear thin. All you need to do is count to ten.
Just remember, your choosing to be in the shops. Please don’t be rude to the shop assistant that won’t give you the hangers due to the rule created by 423874 mangers above her. She really wishes she was out with her mates on a Friday night but instead, has to be here until 10pm serving crazy customers like you.
