Decrease in Pollution is doing the world wonders!
Back in March we were all pleased to hear that due to the decrease in traffic pollution in Venice, the canals were becoming crystal clear again. The canals were able to rest from boats, ferries and cruise ships and were able to settle back to a clear blue!
If that wasn’t good enough for you… It has been announced that the tops of the Himalayan Mountains have been seen for the first time in 30 years as air pollution continues to plummet in India!
COVID-19 may be ruining all of our plans, but it’s working wonders for the world!
Known as ‘Lucy’s Law’, it will mean that puppies and kittens can no longer be sold by a third party seller – such as a pet shop or commercial dealer – unless they have bred the animal themselves. Instead, anyone looking to buy or adopt a puppy or kitten under six months must either deal directly with the breeder or an animal rehoming centre.
The law came into effect from April 2020 and is named after Lucy, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who died in 2016 after being subjected to terrible conditions on a Welsh puppy farm.
