We’ve been truly spoilt with fabulous weather which has been lifting our spirits and keeping us busy outdoors. Now the weather has taken a turn for the worst we’re left twiddling our thumbs maybe even feeling a little low.
Below we have listed a few ideas to keep you and the family both busy and happy whilst being trapped indoors on the rainiest of days.
Virtual Styling Your Next Looks
Have you seen the latest social trend, Virtual Styling!?
We are obsessed with it! What a great way to put all of your ideas together to form new outfits. Perfect for the items already in your wardrobe as well as things in your online basket.
Gok Wan once said, if you can’t think of 3 other things to go with it, then don’t buy it/them! Virtual styling is a great way of keeping yourself busy and planning all of your ‘out of isolation’ looks.
So, what’s the easiest way to do it?… Create a blank canvas on Photoshop, Canva, Paint or even Word and copy and paste your outfits onto it. For the effect we have, you need to find your items on a plain white background, but if not don’t worry… it’s not a master piece!

Create a Home Cinema
Time to wind down.
While the weather’s bad out there, it can still be fun in here! Get the popcorn and snacks out, blankets down and cushions plumped. Whether it be a disney+ film, something new on Netflix or an old classic on DVD, make the most of the time indoors with a little escapism and laziness. We all LOVE a lazy day.
Dust off the Board Games
We all love a family argument over Monopoly right??
There’s bound to be plenty of board games around the house we can dust off and get into action!
If not, there’s always Cards, Pictionary, Charades and even Hide and Seek?
Turn the house into a play zone for the day and keep everybody happy!
You’re spending a lot of time in the house looking around at all the jobs you’ve missed, rooms you’d like to rearrange and colour schemes you’d prefer to change. You can waste hours on Pinterest looking at new trends, inspirations and clever ideas for your house. Create an account and make a few virtual pin boards for your ideas.
Now you’ve spent a WHOLE day on Pinterest without even noticing… get ordering what you need and start decorating.
Create a list of those jobs that need doing and transform those pinned ideas into your reality.
